Baker Perkins Historical Society - Virtual Books

SOME VARIED SOLUTIONS

  1. This clock was presented to Mr John Peake by his colleagues when he retired from the Baker Perkins Group in April 1987. The mahogany framework, in the shape of the BP logo, was probably made in the Pattern Shop.

  2. The Italian Community Association, based at the Fleet Centre at Fletton, Peterborough, is the owner of this raffle ticket mixing drum. It has been in use since 1987.

  3. Apprentice Instructors, Dave Stonebridge and Alan Swinburne designed this bowl which was given to Mr John Garnett, Director of The Industrial Society, and the presenter of awards at the Westwood Apprentices’ prize giving ceremony on 11th November 1966. It was beaten out of a single sheet of copper and the supporting framework, which is hollow, made from steel.
