Baker Perkins Historical Society - Virtual BooksROWING CLUB - RESTING ON OUR OARS
This large stainless steel sign is mounted on the boathouse of Peterborough City Rowing Club. The club, with facilities that are among the best in the U.K., was established in 1948, moving to the Thorpe Meadows site in 1983, where it has its own 1000m training lake and access to 13Km of non-tidal river. Recent competitive achievements include wins at the Henley Royal Regatta. A well-equipped gym is provided for indoor winter training. |
